Consisting of the Scheduler, Future Batch Planner and Tracker, this is the perfect set of tools to assist pipeline operators to schedule multi-product movements to meet specified pipeline nominations.

The start condition for the schedule can be copied from previous, defined manually or captured real-time. From this, the system handles both the schedules for and changes to flow rates, product input and deliveries. Using a set of editors and a pipeline simulator the impact of data modifications can be viewed immediately.

Tracker interfaces with the pipeline SCADA system, tracks actual events and determines when deviations from the schedule occur and issues appropriate warning messages to the operator.

Future Batch Planner uses artificial intelligence techniques to provide automatic scheduling for a pipeline.   FBP takes the nomination data, pipeline configuration, flow profiles, scheduling rules and a set of fitness criteria to generate various schedule solutions.  It then proposes a schedule to best accommodate the specified criteria.  The resulting schedule can be tuned by the user using the interactive scheduler tools.
