Calgary, AB, August 10, 2006 – CriticalControl Solutions Corp., (TSX-V:CCZ) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of ProTrend Software Inc. for $1,175,000 in cash and shares of CriticalControl.

The primary component of CriticalControl’s offering to its gas producer client base is gas measurement and well site monitoring and control services.  ProTrend provides software to effectively manage gas and liquid analyses (“Fluid Analyses”) for the same measurement points.  Fluid Analyses provide a breakdown of the components of gas produced at the well site and is used in combination with measurement data to account for value of gas at each measurement point for both production and joint venture accounting purposes.

ProTrend enables gas producers to schedule Fluid Analyses and manage the composition data electronically.  The ProTrend software is offered as a hosted service and accepts data electronically from each of the major Fluid Analyses laboratories in Canada, thus acting as the primary repository of such data for each client.  The Fluid Analyses can then be disseminated electronically to gas measurement service providers, as well as to field data capture applications, production accounting, joint venture accounting and financial accounting packages.  In addition to electronically interfacing with CriticalControl’s ScanGas and Netflow software, ProTrend is already interfaced with the other major gas measurement service providers in Canada.

$775,000 of the purchase price was paid in cash and 1,843,318 shares of CriticalControl were issued to the vendors. An additional $108,000 will be payable over 3 years based upon certain performance criteria.  The acquisition, which is expected to be immediately accretive to the company, is expected to add more than $600,000 in annualized revenue.

Robert Gray, the principal of ProTrend, will join CriticalControl in the capacity of Vice President, Business Development.  Mr. Gray has been engaged in measurement and allocation consulting and software development for the Western Canadian petroleum industry since 1993, primarily through his consulting company, Prophet Consulting Inc.  He formulated and brought ProTrend Software to market in 2004.  Mr. Gray was also a founder and principal of Pace Software, one of the first gas royalty management programs developed in Western Canada.  Recently, Mr. Gray chaired a special industry committee which redrafted Energy and Utilities Board regulations concerning the sampling and analysis of gas and liquid. He has also made an important contribution to the industry’s advancement by developing and delivering a range of training courses, both privately and for Mount Royal College and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Mr. Gray holds a Business Administration Diploma from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

“This acquisition completes the necessary components of our envisioned network of gas measurement data, enabling our clients with faster access to and better control of their critical production data,” said Alykhan Mamdani, President of CriticalControl. “The addition of Bob Gray to our senior management team adds significant exposure to our target client base and brings a visionary capable of helping us execute on our combined business plan.”
