WNS INC. (CDNX-WNS) NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release: April 15, 2002 Calgary, Alberta WNS NAMES GEORGE WATSON PRESIDENT & CEO Calgary, April 15 - WNS Inc. ("WNS") today announced the appointment of George Watson as President & CEO. The appointment shall be effective upon the closing of the acquisition of VerticalBuilder as disclosed in the press release of the company dated April 9, 2002. Alykhan Mamdani, currently President & CEO will become Chief Financial Officer, the position he occupied prior to August, 2001. Shawn Thompson, appointed interim Chief Financial Officer in August, 2001 has left WNS. Mr. Watson is the former President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TransCanada Pipelines Ltd. (March, 1993 – July, 1999). Presently he is a partner with Northridge Canada and Executive Chairman at VerticalBuilder.com Inc. Prior to his role as CEO of TransCanada, Mr. Watson also served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for several years (June, 1990 – March, 1993). He has more than 20 years of experience in senior management, including positions at Dome Petroleum (May, 1981 – December, 1998) and as CEO of Intensity Resources Ltd. (December, 1988 – June, 1990). Mr. Watson sits on the boards of Queen’s University, Canadian 88 Energy Corp. (currently acting as interim president), Equatorial Energy Inc., Healthchoice Corp., Badger Daylighting Inc., and Geodyne Energy Inc. Former directorships include the Toronto Dominion Bank, Conference Board of Canada, the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the Canadian Energy Pipelines Association, TransCanada Pipelines Ltd. and subsidiaries, as well as many other smaller entities. Mr. Watson holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree and MBA from Queens as well as an A.M.P. from Harvard. “I look forward to working with Alykhan to take WNS through the next stage of growth.
